Annual Awards Banquet

Doors open at 6:00pm.
Cost – Free for Members and Spouses. Non-member guests $35 per person.
Menu: New York Strip steak, corn on the cob, salad, dessert.

SCI Flint Record Book: Edition 6 is scheduled for release at our Christmas Dinner. For this revision we will be making corrections and adding entries submitted since or last printing. Please let us know if you have noticed any errors in our previous version to make this book as accurate as possible.

AWARDS: Each person entering a trophy will receive a personal plaque or certificate. There will be Gold, Silver and Bronze for submissions in archery, handgun, rifle, alternate means and muzzleloader categories. With your submission, you will automatically be entered in the competition for major awards. Entries will be added to our next record book automatically with your participation. To enter, the applicant must be a SCI Flint Member in good standing at the time the trophy was harvested. Trophies must have been legally harvested in 2015 to be eligible for major awards.

Process to take part in our awards banquet:

  1. Have your trophy scored by an official measurer and recorded on a SCI Scoresheet. For a list of local scorers.
  2. Indicate on the score sheet if the hunter was 18 years old or younger at the time of harvest to be considered for the overall youth category.
  3. For each entry submit $35.00 for plaques, or $10.00 for certificates. Checks to be made out to SCI-FLINT.
  4. Submit your entry and payment by JULY 15, 2016 to:

MAJOR AWARDS TO BE PRESENTED AT THE BANQUET:

-The HR Somers International Hunting Award

For the 2015 internationally harvested trophy with the highest score over

SCI Minimum as determined by the Awards Committee.

-The Edward Minto North American Hunting Award

For the 2015 North American harvested trophy with the highest score over

SCI Minimum as determined by the Awards Committee.

-The People’s Choice Award

For the crowd favorite taxidermy or mount voted for at the banquet by attendees.

-The Carl E. Sweers Memorial Award

Presented for the largest Whitetail deer harvested in 2015.

-The John F. Gall Michigan Whitetail Award

Presented for the largest MICHIGAN Whitetail deer harvested in 2015.

-The Joseph Schotthoefer “Service Award”

Presented to the member who has provided exemplary service to SCI Flint in 2015.
